Formed in Albany, New York in the first part of this decade, Throat Culture has emerged from their Rust Belt breeding ground with a record as brutal and unrelenting as the terrain. This heavy, riffy, post-hardcore beast sounds something like a tense, anxious, Cop Shoot Cop meets Quicksand, with the gain turned all the way up, and the mids turned all the way down. Or, as Noisey put it, "like the wood-paneled basement you took acid in for the first time."
